Overview
A website and brand redesign. Going from a "Continuing Education" website to a "Marketplace" for users to explore and purchase courses that will encourage learning and professional development
Role: Front-End Web Developer
Date: Early 2021
Behind the Screen
This was a project assigned to me as a Web Designer for FIU Online.
The Vision
The website mockup with basic elements for the redesign were provided by a Graphic Designer on the team.
The Development
I used HTML, CSS, and minimal JS for the design. The site was built using Cascade and I used PHP (Salesforce on the back end) for the form. I also had to request a new domain for the site and redirect the old domain (cpe) to the new one (learnermarketplace).

The Takeaway
This was my first large website project that I tackled on my own. The timeframe was short and I was able to deliver on time. I took on a leadership role as well since I needed to actively obtain content, design feedback, and other feedback from the stakeholders. Moreover, I had to update and communicate with the stakeholder after the project completion for updates (accessibility, minor tweaks, etc.).
